DR. LUKE MCCARRON
Founder & Executive Director
Dr Luke McCarron is an occupational therapist with a special interest in hand therapy and upper limb rehabilitation. He holds doctoral and master’s qualifications and is recognised for his work in wrist biomechanics, ulnar-sided wrist pain, and post-operative care.
Luke has extensive clinical experience in hand therapy and serves as an Assistant Professor at Bond University. A passionate educator, he is committed to creating meaningful learning experiences that bridge research and clinical practice. He has presented at national and international conferences across Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.
Luke founded Upper Limb Education to develop in-person learning environments that enable therapists to explore complex presentations in depth and translate evidence into confident, high-quality care.
KATE MCCARRON
Director of Operations & Events
Kate McCarron is Director of Business Operations & Events at
Upper Limb Education. With a background in business
development, marketing, and event management, Kate brings extensive experience in the tourism and business events industry to the operational delivery of Upper Limb Education.
Holding a Bachelor of Business from Griffith University, Kate has worked across event venues and convention bureaux, collaborating with professional conference organisers and destination management companies to deliver high-quality, large-scale events.
At Upper Limb Education, Kate leads business operations and national course delivery, ensuring workshops are professionally executed, strategically structured, and aligned with clinician needs. Her focus is on creating seamless, high-value learning environments that allow education to integrate into clinicians’ professional lives, not compete with them.
